In 2017, more than 180,000 trees were cut down as the Polish government ignored UNESCO pleas to halt the logging in the centre of Europe’s last primaeval forest – Bialowieza. Together with a group of design students, I prepared three posters and joined the environmental activists protesting against the governmental actions. These three works were presented in the area of Bialowieza and later on spread to people protesting in other cities in Poland.
Years later, the battle for saving Bialowieza is still ongoing.
